Just installed Opera 28 (from Ruario's OpenSuse package), and have a rather annoying little problem. This version (unlike all the previous ones I've used) does not remember its window size when I restart it. It always starts as a too wide but not very tall window, when I want it narrower, and the full height of the display. (Portrait orientation rather than landscape.)

As I said, all the other Opera versions I've used remember what size I set their window to the last time I used them, and use that. This version seems bent on using its preferred size, which is most annoying. Is it a bug, a design decision, or am I just doing something wrong?

Same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. VERYY annoying! I even deleted the prferences file (~/config/opera/preferences). That helped for one or two starts but now Opera set back to this annoying behavior. On another Ubuntu machine resetting did not help.

This bug has been fixed in Opera 29 and later.

Please look at this and you will know what I mean!
