Feature Request: Transparent Visual Group Panels for Speed Dial
I would like to suggest a new way of organizing the Speed Dial homepage.
Currently, users can group similar websites into folders. While this helps reduce clutter, accessing links inside these folders requires additional clicks. This makes navigation slower and less convenient.
My suggestion is to introduce Visual Group Panels as an alternative to traditional folders.
How it should work
Users can group related Speed Dial shortcuts inside independent visual panels.
Each group should have its own subtle, transparent frame.
Groups should be positioned symmetrically, side by side or in a customizable layout.
All website shortcuts should remain visible and directly accessible without opening a folder.
Panels should have customizable transparency, borders and background colors.
High-contrast, vivid colors and elegant visual effects should be available to users who enjoy personalizing their browser.
The main idea
The goal is to combine the organizational benefits of folders with the speed and convenience of directly accessible shortcuts.
Instead of hiding shortcuts inside folders, Opera could offer a visually structured homepage where users can organize their digital world into beautiful, transparent and customizable sections.
Less clicking, better organization, more personality.
I believe this would make Opera's Speed Dial more functional, visually appealing and enjoyable to use.
