Don't override settings when downloading a mod!

I think one of the most frustrating issues I run into with Opera GX is when I search through the mods and see a cool feature I want to try out, like a cool cursor, but when I install it, it replaces all my settings with that mod. Then, when you try to remove all the changes it made, it doesn't go back to your own settings, so you have to spend like 30 minutes fixing the problem. I tend to avoid downloading large mods for this reason.
The solution would be not to override all mod settings after installing.

An alternative for now:
Set everything up how you like it. Then, goto the URL
opera://configure/mods, hover over the center Opera icon on the page and click the "Set image" icon and pick an image. Then, hover over the new image that's now in the center of the page and click the "save preset" button. You'll then see your new preset in the preset section on the page (along with the 2 default ones). Then, if you ever need to switch back, just click that preset. You can also switch presets in the Easy Setup menu.
