I've been using Opera GX as my daily driver for years. The RAM/CPU limiters are genuinely great and the reason I stay. But the bookmark system feels like it hasn't been touched since launch, and it's honestly embarrassing compared to what Firefox and even Chrome offer out of the box.

Here's what's missing that should be considered baseline functionality:

      1. Drag-to-reorder inside folders
This is the big one. You cannot manually sort bookmarks up or down inside a folder. The only way to reorganize is to delete and re-add, or export to HTML, edit the file manually, and re-import. That's absurd for a 2026 browser. Every other major browser has had this for over a decade.

      2. Sort options (A-Z, by date, by most visited)
There's no built-in sort. No right-click → "Sort by name." Nothing. If you have 200+ bookmarks in a folder, you're scrolling through them in whatever random order they were added.

      3. Separators / Dividers
There's no way to add a visual separator line between groups of bookmarks inside a folder. Firefox has had this forever. It's a simple horizontal line that helps visually organize bookmarks without needing a subfolder for every small group.

      4. Bulk operations
You can't multi-select bookmarks to move, delete, or reorganize them in batch. Want to move 15 bookmarks to a new subfolder? That's 15 individual drag-and-drops — assuming drag even works, which brings us back to point 1.

      5. Better import behavior
When importing bookmarks from an HTML file, Opera wraps everything in an "Imported" folder and merges with existing bookmarks instead of offering a clean replace option. This makes migration and backup restoration unnecessarily painful.

      6. Search & filter in the bookmark manager
The bookmark manager search is bare minimum. There's no way to filter by folder, by date range, or find duplicates. Managing a large bookmark collection is basically impossible without external tools.

I get that the GX brand is built around gaming features, themes, and integrations. But bookmarks are core browser functionality. People who use GX for the performance features shouldn't have to fight the browser every time they want to organize their saved links.

These aren't feature requests for nice-to-haves. This is stuff that was standard in browsers 10+ years ago. Please prioritize it.
