Prolonged use of GX on Mac causing tab closing and overlay issues

I’ve been facing a recurring issue with Opera GX on macOS and wanted to share it.

After the browser has been open for a few hours (or a couple of days), its behavior starts to change:

Tab closing issue:
• I need to click the close (X) button on a tab twice for it to close. Earlier, a single click worked fine.

Pop-ups / overlays not appearing:
• Menu pop-ups and overlays stop showing up. For example:
• Clicking on File / Edit menu
• Opening profile or extensions
• The expected dropdowns or overlays do not appear.

The only workaround I’ve found is to force quit and restart the browser, after which everything works normally again.

This seems to happen consistently after prolonged usage, so it might be related to session time or memory handling.

Is anyone else also facing this?
