      Hey Opera forums folks,

Long-time Opera user here from Multan, Pakistan—been hooked since the early days for its speed and built-in goodies like the free VPN. Lately, though, I've noticed some quirks with the VPN that make me wish for a couple of tweaks. Hoping to spark some discussion: what do you think of adding a kill switch and per-site toggles? I'd love advice on workarounds too if these exist.

The Issue: The VPN is fantastic for quick privacy boosts, especially on public WiFi, but it lacks a true kill switch—if it drops unexpectedly, my traffic leaks unencrypted. Also, I don't always need it site-wide; sometimes it's just for banking or streaming, not everything. Manually toggling it on/off is clunky, and extensions feel like a band-aid.

      My Suggestion/Idea:

      • Kill Switch: A simple on/off in VPN settings that blocks all internet if the VPN disconnects. Make it optional with a quick confirm prompt to avoid lockouts.

      • Per-Site Toggle: Like uBlock's site rules—enable VPN only for specific domains. Bonus if it remembers rules across sessions.

This would level up Opera's privacy game without bloating the browser, keeping it lightweight. It'd be a game-changer for folks in regions with spotty connections like mine.

Anyone using third-party extensions for this (like VPN managers)? Do they play nice with Opera's native one? Have you requested similar features before, or found hacks? Upvote/share if this resonates, or tell me why it's a bad idea—curious for your takes!

      Cheers, and keep Opera rocking!
