my opera gx has no search engine

i don't think i can fully describe this but to put it simply whenever i try to put anything in the address bar it crashes, theres no search bar on new tab page, and theres no search engine to select

Uninstall Opera (don't choose to delete your data when uninstalling) and reinstall it to fix the installation files to see if that helps.
If not, you might need to wipe your settings.
