GX Mobile - No scroll bar

I've been struggling to find a way to force a scroll bar into the Opera GX mobile interface. On websites that offer a dark mode, a scroll bar will appear when selecting dark mode. Otherwise, I'm left without a scroll bar entirely.

I read on my phone, and frequently I'll want an idea of how much content there is on a page, or just a handy visual cue of where I am in a page if I need to put it aside.

There are very few settings I can actually adjust on the mobile app, and the best true solution I can find is that I would need to override a website's default scroll encoding.

Am I missing some obvious fix here, or what?

For reference, I'm using an android phone.
