opera12: slitaz5/fedora21 problems

i'm using opera 12.16 for slitaz5 linux
First problem :
under this distribution i cannot have "éè" french accents. why? it works well on the same opera version on Fedora. But accents are working on midori/firefox under slitaz5.
Second problem:
i'm using the integrated mail client on opera, with IMAP on both GMAIL/GMX email accounts.
Problem : read mails on my fedora (12.16) are not synchronized with slitaz opera (i receive mails, but they are marked as unread on slitaz, read on fedora)
i don't understand why.
IMAP servers are well configured
I looked for a bug or something but didn't find outthanks you for your help

I have the same problem using Opera under Ubuntu. I don't know what I can do.
