Twitch laggs on Opera (possibly other live feeds with a low latency to)

So, I really love Opera. I've used it for the past few years and pretty much never had problems with it, but since some update a few months ago (could be a year already, to be honest), my Twitch streams start freezing shortly and then jumping back to the live feed. The sound doesn't freeze, it's just the video, but it annoys me terribly.
I've tried disabling any extensions or anything that could cause this and didn't find anything that could be the reason for it. After that, I tried it with another browser with the same settings/extensions, and it worked without any lags, so I made sure it isn't from Twitch's side.
I'll assume it has something to do with how Opera encodes video and that it's just maybe too slow to handle a live feed below three seconds or something like that. I really hope there's a way to fix this.
