opera gx freezing issue

hi!! normally i go to reddit to ask these things but i havent gotten any good answers so.. im coming here!! so basically for some reason after a little bit of using opera gx (like having it open not installing) it will freeze up but i can still interact with things.. like i can click where the new tab button was on the frozen screen and i will hear that tab open up, or when i hit the close tab button i'll hear it close. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it this morning but it started happening again. ive noticed it always happens when i have twitter open too which is odd. i can even still hear my music playing and everything when the display (?) freezes. most of the time before i reinstalled i had to just close it out and reopen but after i got a white screen and a crash popup. if it correlates at all before i uninstalled i used to sometimes have the opera window go black for a few seconds and then the tab i was on would lose its icon and stuff. when i reinstalled i DID delete my data but i did re-enable syncing with my opera account. does anybody know what this is?? for the record this freezing thing has only started today.. the blackscreening has happened only a little bit in the past few weeks.. please help!!

@weirdlopster I'm facing the same issue. I've already cleaning data (history, cookies), disabled hw acceleration, started on safe mode, change angle on flags, reinstalled, and nothing changes. For me the freeze starts when a page is loaded, mostly on twitch, reddit, youtube, facebook.. Forums like this one doesn't do (yet). I dunno what's going on. My memory shows normal consumption, gpu works well,

@khronospy Reinstalling MalwareBytes Browser Guard solves the issue for me. Weird that even disabled doesn't solve anything. Hopes helps for you too.

This solution worked for me :
Go to opera://flags/ then search for " Choose ANGLE graphics backend", then chose "D3D9"
