Hello everyone,
I've been an Opera Mini user for quite some years now. Unfortunately, I found out that any version beyond 4.3.25172 (at least 4.5, 5 and 6) isn't working with my phone... How come?
Can anyone tell me how to find out what features my phone lacks - trying to install a newer version (actually it installs but cannot be started)?
I would like to update since there's an annoying bug that starts to autoscroll. And further Opera starts the setup process on each application start...All specifications - concerning my phone - I could find say it has:
Software Version B2100.04
Hardware Version Rev0.1
Device model: SAMSUNG-B2100/B2100XXJF1Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1
The supported features should be here (If I am understanding correctly): http://wap.samsungmobile.com/uaprof/B2100.xml
Thank you very much in advance

Oh! And before I forget: Several users of the B2100 are having certificate problems when trying to use Opera Mini. I figured out that this is due to a bug in the firmware of the B2100. After restarting the phone the Java timers aren't initialized with the current time stored on the phone, but rather are set to 0.
Solution:
Go to the Settings->Date And Time and just press OK so save the current time. By doing so the Java timers will be set, too. -

Java timers fails on my sek800i after water damage not due to certificate issue. Your Xtreme phone has a limited jvm capabilities as any featured phone made by Samsung. You could try to install the latest mini4 without any certificate, that's the only shot I can think of.

I have one of those B2100 laying around in a shelf. No problem at all to download Opera Mini 4.5 from m.opera.com and get it up and running. Loading some pages also worked fine. This particular B2100 is more or less brand new but not used so it doesn´t have a lot of stuff saved on it as sms, images etc.
