Opera Keeps Killing FVD Extension

I have used Flash Video Downloader (FVD) v1.5.3 by NimbusWeb for years to download .mp4, .ts and .flv videos. It does an excellent job. After reloading my Windows 10 after a MB crash I found this extension is no longer offered by Opera. What happened? Many other sites seems to be dropping it as well. Is this a copy protection takedown, or what is the issue with this extension? I have backups that I can reload and it works for a few days then vanishes. I checked my MalwareBytes and its not moving it to the Quarantine. The Win10 AV is disabled. What is the scoop on this extension? Most of the current offered extensions all seem pretty lame compared to a few years ago.
