Opera mini problems with Gear S and Note 4

I installed opera mini on my Samsung Gear S via the Samsung Gear App on my phone last week. It was fine. The watch crashed on the second day of use, when I tried to take my heart rate while using the Nike Running App. On the app screen of the watch, several icons were missing, including Opera, and there was no getting them back.
I took it back to the ATT store and we did a factory reset. Since then (about 10 days ago) I have been unable to re-install Opera at all. It installs and uninstalls on the phone, but the watch is oblivious to it.
I prefer not to reset the watch again, since it did not work the first time, and now I have customized it.
Here is my theory: The watch still has a remnant of Opera on it, causing it to believe it is still "installed". When the phone installs and re-installs the app, it could care less. I would like to know how to remove all traces of opera on the watch, so the next time I install it on the phone it will see it as a new program and transfer it over. I have downloaded other apps successfully since then. this is an Opera specific problem. Samsung tech support tried, for some time with me, but could not help.
How can I get Opera on the watch, after it had been on, the watch crashed, and it was factory reset??
Thank you.

I have the exact same issue with my gear s.
Checked both gear and phone for any remaining opera mini settings but couldnt find any.
Yet in the gear app store when I want to download OperaMini, instead of the "install" button, theres only a button that says "goto gear s".
So the phone still has some data stored which are interpreted as if OperaMini is already installed on the gear s.
How to reset this and install OperaMini again ?Note: this is about the Tizen version.

Found a solution:
- Uninstall ALL apps on the Gear s visible as "installed"
- Uninstall gear manager on the phone
- Install gear manager again on the phone
- Pair phone with gear s
- Re-install apps - Opera will now install as well
It's like changing all the tires of your car while only 1 needs a bit of air, but it works...
