Tab opening speed slow and juddery when a few tabs are open.

If I only have a few tabs open tab opening speed is always very fluid (Intel HD 4000) After I get Facebook in there and maybe some other tabs open too (I had 6 open when I last saw this happen) opening a new tab is very juddery in comparison. One of the main reasons I chose Opera was because of how beautifully it opens and closes tabs.. Anyone else seen this? I'd really like it to be improved so it feels blazing fast at all times. I'm unsure what exactly causes it but I think it could be related to having one or two fairly substantial pages loaded.
