modern scroll

@maximkoshevoi Unfortunately it's not. I've spent countless hours trying to find any hack / circumvention / whatever. It's simply impossible by design. As soon as an API becomes available you can bet on me adding it though.

When YouTube video full screen attempting to skip 5s (pressing right arrow) will move entire player to the left and scrolling bar will appear. Had to disable it for yt.

Hi, thanks for creating this awesome extension, its design and features are top-notch. I just wish there were a few more customization options for scrollbar bookmarks labels (for anchor links), such as Font Family, Font Size, Font Weight and Text transform
Keep up the good work!

It needs a contextual keyboard-button [eg. 'Control/Ctrl'] for the Modern-scroll-bar NOT to appear, when one 'mouses' over the scrollbar-area!
Now one can not access any screen-elements, which are placed in the area where the permanent scroll-bar used to be [ie. a websites' mediaplay-cancel-button]!
Otherwise; this browser-addon is a genuine innovation. -

@mich1 you can right-click the interface and choose to hide it (temporarily or always) in the context menu if it gets in your way.

@christoph142 I love this extension but I am constantly getting the same pop up asking for a review, I gave it a review on the first notice but this now pops up repeatedly and randomly, it's fairly annoying... I appreciate this is a solo, non-funded project and if I could support more I would but please can you fix this repeated pop-up issue. many thanks

@krokigeci I read about this happening for quite some people now. In theory it should show up no more than once every six months (even less under certain conditions). How often do you get the popup? And are you using multiple devices with the extension?

@christoph142 It happens more often than not, I'm trying to figure out what's triggering it but not it seems mostly random... I've noticed sometimes it pops up after I return to my browser after being inactive for a few minutes, and when switching to a different tab?
It only started happening the other day but since then it's happened 10s of times, for example today I got home from work and went straight onto my browser and immediately it opened and since then it's popped up again around 5-6 times maybe...
I am only using one browser with the extension - Opera GX, my browser is almost always open and I use it for the usual stuff, youtube, emails, forums, purchases etc.
There doesn't seem to be a glaring trend on when or why it happens other than the inactivity I mentioned earlier, if you need any more info just let me know, I hope this is helpful

@christoph142 immediately after posting my previous comment it happened again, no trigger whatsoever, I had just moved my hands away from my mouse & keyboard lol! It really does seem to be random, perhaps its time based, not too sure?

@fin4l Sorry for that! An update is on its way!
To make it shut up immediately:- open modern scroll's options page
- open a browser console there
- execute
chrome.storage.sync.get({last_dialog_time: 0, dialogs_shown: {}}, s => { s.dialogs_shown[Date.now()] = "#hello_again"; chrome.storage.sync.set(s);});

@kevvv sorry for the joke tone and unhelpful feedback. but yes the prompt would show up numerously and randomly in a day despite having already responding to it. im often on other software working or in call, so it would stack up to 3 or more tabs the longer i kept gx on idle. it would typically show up every 10mins ish of inactivity or if the time had elapsed it would show up after i open a new tab, but it's easy to just close the tab.
Appreciate the solo effort in maintaining this banger of an extension, can't imagine how time-consuming it would be. Thank you for rolling an update to address the issue

@christoph142 Hi, thank for the hotfix that you offer me but we would say that opera does not want to know anything xD. there is a pickture of the comand that you give me : https://prnt.sc/N9tgTmYuPXrF (don't look the 4 time that i'm trying to write the command xD) I'll wait for the update, I hope is going to be here anytime soon.
And no, I want to be able to pay you some sushi anytime so if for example the prompt show itself in like six mounth after, I might be more in favor of making a donation if you know what I mean, but it is true that between each change of page or opening of tab to be redirected (of force in addition) on the page of the addon it puts a cold

@kevvv: 4.2.2 is live and fixes the issue. Sorry for the trouble. I've been developing this extension for more than 10 years now. Mistakes happen every now and then...

Es muy buena la extension, pero deberian dejar elegir en que paginas no se ejecute, ya que hay paginas que no sirven con esta extension.

@uaose gracias. Puedes desactivar modern scroll en el menΓΊ contextual y en el popup

Search-on-page (Ctrl + F): Modern-scroll shows not word-location-markers, like on the standard-scroll-bar.

@mich1 true. Unfortunately this is technically impossible to do for an extension. I'd love to have this myself. But there's just no way to do so.
