I think the workspaces system is well made and useful. The only reason I'm not using it is because I find it annoying that when you close your last tab, it automatically switches to your other workspace.

Ex : I have two workspaces : A and B. I have multiple tabs in B and use A as my "main" workspace.

When I close my last tab in A, it automatically switches to B. Could there be an option to stop this behavior ? If I want to use workspace B, I will click on it manually.

      Thanks !

@zan9822 If you close the last tab what Opera should you show? A void? Gravity singularity? Before closing the last Tab, open new empty tab (with Speed Dial tab). It isn't overly troublesome to you I hope, is it?

@pavelopdev I could do that too. What I was expecting is that when I close the last tab, it goes back to the Speed Dial; the same behavior as when I don't use workspaces.

I was hoping to have a behavior as if each workspace was it's own "Opera instance".

@zan9822 OK,ok. 🙂 What if someone wants Opera to move to the tab he 'd like to go? Another point in Settings page? Thus way Opera will finish soon with Vivaldi's Byzantine setting nooks. 🙂 Well, I thought about your (and mine too) issue why Opera jumps to other Workspace (the last one you have visited), but I took it for granted. That way Opera keeps memory footprint minimal. Perhaps. On the other hand when you come back to the empty Workspace the empty tab will appear automagically. I like it. 🙂
