Debian Testing
Version: 73.0.3847.0
Opera is up to date
Update stream: developer
System: Debian GNU/Linux bullseye/sid (x86_64; Unknown)
Monitor: CRT 1600x1200I do not understand why, but I did make a test and I think it is possible. Only one or two hour effort for advanced coders.
[Fig. 1] Up to now you may play only one song from your directory. This screenshot shows Opera audio player running on the second tab which I moved to the second window (on the right).
[Fig. 2] To show better what I'd like to have in Opera I downloaded two files: 1) left.html from the left window, 2) right.html from the right Opera window (see Fig. 1) Then I joined the two files into a play.html file and started to run it in Opera. Pay
attention to the black triangle which points to the played file.
I'd like to run many things from Opera window(s). Playing playlist(s) directly from Opera tab is one of my ideas.
[Fig. 3] As for now I have been using mpv and Midnight Commander. I'm a minimalist guy, I do not like to litter system with zillion unnecessary window applications, contrary to the nearly all Linux distros which are trying to imitate MS Windows implementing hundreds of graphical apps.
