Hi! I moved from Chrome to Opera - I really like it 🙂 The only issue I've encountered so far is that the camera is not detected - on websites which use the camera I'm not even ask about the permissions. I checked it on Chrome and FF and it works.

      Details:
      Opera version: 71.0.3770.271
Computer : Lenovo X1 Carbon 6 gen (with two cameras - one is IR)
      OS: Ubuntu 20.4

Any ideas what might be wrong?
      Thanks!

        Same happened to me.

I'm opera user since many years ago, I love (and support) it.
Today I upgraded from Opera 71 to 72, I removed the previous config, cache, etc. and configured from scratch (sync user).
When I tried to join google meet it shows that camera is not detected.

        Details:
        Opera version: 72.0.3815.148
OS: KDE Neon 5.19 (ubuntu 20.04 I guess)

I finally solved mine. (I'm Linux user)
I installed the last stable version (72.0.3815.148) via snap, and I had the same problem: camera was working in Chrome, but not detected in Opera.
I uninstalled in snap and re-installed via apt repositories, and it worked.

          Hope this helps.

I have installed Opera via snap, it turns out you need to grant permission to Opera so it can access the camera. @SebastianGM thanks for a clue!
