I can neither connect my android phones nor login to my opera account with them

what am i supposed to do? i have tried scanning the qr code and entering the digits dozens of times and i always get the connection failed message.
i am not able to login to my opera account from either phone. using opera, opera touch or opera mini.
i am about to send my desktop in for repairs and would really like to have access to my flow.
phones are moto g4 and g7 play, desktop is macbook pro 2017

I'm having the same problem. Pixel 4a with Android 11, HP Spectre x360 with Windows 10. All software is up to date.
