Opera Mini keeps creating new tabs and switching in to that new tab

I just upgraded my opera mini to its latest version and things started to get very frustrating.
My sim internet service provider automatically send notice to my phone that i have no internet in the form of captive portal page. Annoying things happen because of that, it automatically open a captive portal page in new tab and switches in to that new tab, i tried removing that tab but it keeps coming back.
One time i forgot to close opera mini and horrible thing happened. It open 34 new tabs of the same captive portal page and whenever i remove one, a new tab will open. It is very annoying, i almost throw my phone because of that. This problem doesn't occur on outdated versions of opera mini, unfortunately, i don't have back up of that so i have no choice i have to switch to google chrome.
Does anyone here have experienced the same thing like before? Do you have any solutions that may help me to solve this problem?
I hope opera mini has a setting that prevents anything from automatically opening new tabs and switching to new tabs without the user's permission.
