Opera GX slow on initial boot up of browser (Spash screen not working, even though enabled)

Version 68.0.3618.206, I have noticed the last few updates have dramatically slowed down the boot up time of the GX browser (about 45 seconds, to a 1 minute), without using any VPN, I have a solid wired connection with a 145 mbps download speed, . Also, I have the splash screen enabled, but it does not work.
