I think it would be good to have a "Light" version of Opera, without VPN, Side Bar, Bitcoin Thing, integrated Messenger, News system.....
It would be suitable for old PC and smartphone.
Opera Mini, is another browser, you can not compare the user esperienze.
It would be even better to allow a modular Installation that let the user choose wich features to Install, but I'm afraid that it is not so easy for your devs.
