Savings paused - service temporarily unavailable

  • Hiya,

    I've been using Max for maybe 3 weeks now, and have been finding it quite useful.

    However, it seems to have just stopped working, and I'm not sure why. The VPN seems connected, however the notification centre says "Savings paused - Service temporarily unavailable". It's been like this since Saturday night.

    I've tried

    • disconnecting and reconnecting the vpn
    • Going into the Opera Max app and switching the "Savings" toggle on and off
    • Pressing "recharge" - it's telling me I have 6 days of savings left
    • switching off my phone completely and restarting it. (I also re confirmed I want to trust Opera Max as it started)

    None of these has make it work again.

    Any ideas?

  • Delete app data/cache via app manager and try again.

  • Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it hasn't resolved it.

    Is it possible that the app has stopped working for my region (Australia?). I went to download it again and I'm now seeing the message that it's not available in my region. However it was a couple of weeks ago when I downloaded it?

  • Hurrah! After reinstalling from that link (which BTW is where I originally got it from - I just hadn't remembered where I needed to go to get it again), we're back in business.
