I am using Android 2.3.3 and Opera Mini 7.5.5, and sometimes when I leave Opera Mini for another app (concretely Whatsapp through a notification) all opened tabs are gone, as if I started afresh. My phone had in one specific instance 275/330MB RAM used (excluding Whatsapp, but that consumes near to nothing), and upon going back (I tried both going back to the main screen and starting from there as well as switching with the task manager) the tab was lost. I figure Android ending it to free memory is neither sure nor impossible. Independent of that tabs should be saved no matter how Opera is exited. Is there anything specific I am doing wrong, is this a known bug, or will it be resolved?

There can't be hot or cold load so only a single process is involved and killing that seems to be the Android OS way. Opera Mini can't be awake in background and fill up the pipes for downloads or invoke native apps at the same time. I.e. if opera mini server process is on when youtube player is active then opera mini tend to control the player just passing the link to youtube app.

@dirgas this reply looks like completely unrelated to this topic...(?)

Opera is able to save its state so when Android OS kills its process it can reopen with all the tabs you had open the next time you switch to it, if it isn't doing this then that's a bug.

Thanks rafaelluik, it seems to be bugged then. I'll try and see if I can get together definite steps to reproduce it and file a bug report.
