Snap package out of date (version 64 only)

For Linux, a snap package is provided on https://snapcraft.io/opera
This snap package has not been updated since November, so only version 64 is available.Does this mean that the snap package is no longer supported? (It is still linked to from https://www.opera.com/download)

Opera Stable has reached v66 a couple of days ago, so yes, the versions in the snap store are both out of date. And it is because of this
https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/opera-stops-working-after-upgrade-due-to-gnome-connection-issue/14155If you are on an rpm or a deb distro, do yourself a favor and remove that snap thing and install the proper package in its place.

The fault on this seems to lie entirely with the Snap team. A developer from Opera has made repeated requests about needing support to resolve issues so that they can update Snap versions. All his requests have been unanswered so far. Two months on & still no resolution...
If I were Opera, I would make a blog post about Opera Snap users switching over to regular deb version with detailed instructions on how to make Chromium codecs work on Ubuntu 19.10 (and older) platforms.

If I were opera, I would also remove my snap app from the so called "store" of ubuntu until the issue was fixed.

thanks for the responses guys,
This really a pity. Opera should indeed pull the snap package entirely from the snap store. Right now, they distribute an old and insecure version
