Sync takes time when opening

I've tried this on stable, beta and developer and when loading Opera it can take up to 3 or 4 minutes for the yellow exclamation mark to disappear from the sync icon and for passwords to start working. This is really frustrating as I can't log into any of my sites unless I type the password in unless I wait.
