[Request] Quick access for Bookmarks

I have been trying Opera for the last couple of days and I really like it for now. It's innonative, beautiful, fast, and more. I love having my tabs from the last session saved too.
I have one thing that I dislike though : it annoys me very much not to be able to costumize the navigation bar like firefox does. I like having my bookmarks to the same level as the search bar. I don't see the point of having a super long search bar and I want to save view space as much as possible for my browsing. I even hide my windows' taskbar ā you see, i'm a minimalist.
See image below to see a difference between the two.
My workaround is that I use the bookmarks icon from the sidebar to navigate through my bookmarks, I almost never type urls. In the default Opera browser, it opens a small window just like messenger would. Why can't Opera GX do the same? It opens another tab but I don't necessarily want to focus on that webpage right away. I'm aware I can click with the mouse wheel, but it still leaves my with an extra tab : the bookmarks, of which I have to close after...
Here are 3 solutions that I can think of to add this customization:
- Allow users to customize the navigation bar (so to add the bookmarks section to the same level as the search bar);
- Allow users to snap some of their bookmarks to the sidebar just like you do with twitch, messenger, and some extensions (e.g. bitwarden password manager).
- Have the bookmarks' sidebar icon act the same as the Opera default browser;
Thanks.
