Opera GX same problem with fast choice and the color choice of the browser

As i downloaded to see what to think about the new GX version.
I instant saw 2 issues the first one is the black only color and the second which is also present in the original version being that at the fastchoice menu the four squares at the bar at the left do not change to the choice of my preffered search engine.
It simply stays at google and not duckduckgo as i wish.
As far as i remember this still also on the original browser as well for a long time now.
But i do not find any good reasons why to limit user choices till now nobody has posted a solution nor did opera change this.
I really also hate that every developer now seems to have the idea that users have to use their set sizes and choices and i really hate that its like being in a straight jacket and seems to become normal everywhere.
