Hints after hovering over pretty much anything . To to disable it?

Having the same issue - really annoying.
In some cases the following happens and I have to resolve by:

• Alt text appears from unfocused / background window despite currently working and focused on foreground window - solved by moving the mouse away (temporary) or restarting (more permanent), though I only had this happen once so far.
• Alt text persists despite switching tabs, minimising and even switching desktops - Can be solved by finding the window / tab it came from and the alt text can then unfocus. (In my case this happened with an Tabli's popout window.

Also - the alt text is also sometimes slow to update it's text for anything it hovers over.
