ubuntu 19.10 opera installed by snap. can I change mouse pointer. it is so weird. the mouse pointer when over on a link shows a left hand icon. how can i change it

You can't. Snap apps, in general, do not follow the system's theming.
This will hopefully change in future versions of snap (the backend, not the app),
