Frame Drops During Normal Use

I've used Opera for a few years and I have loved it. Recently, a friend tried out GX and recommended it to me, so I though I would try it out. Loving it so far (though it could do with a little bit of fine tuning that I know will come with time ).

However, I am noticing frame drops when just going about my business online. I've noticed it the most when opening and closing tabs that it goes to maybe 15 fps or so for a second. Just doing stuff normally in the browser seems to cause frame drops, something I've never had a problem with before.

I was wondering if this is an issue with my browser -- and if so what I can do to solve it -- or if others are having this issue to.
