Opera Mini Extreme Form Submit (non-interactive) causes page reload, not submit

When submitting a form using Opera Mini in Extreme Mode, and the form doesn't have any user input, causes the page to reload rather than submitting the form.
As an example, when logged in I make a form available to the user with some hidden fields that allows a user to save/favourite an entity. However, since there are no user editable fields OMX just reloads the page rather than submitting the form.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
