After a good amount of time of using this extension It sadly doesn't work anymore as videos downloader from this extension have a black screen that says "The following content is not available on this app. Watch this content on the latest version of youtube" because apparently they changed the youtube TOS and it is not allowed to download videos from their site.

Hi,
YouTube has recently become stricter with video downloading, and yet again tried to block us. I am working on a fix for this issue, and it is almost done and should be available soon to you via an auto addon update.
In the meantime, please consider supporting me by donating at https://videodroid.org/pro_upgrade.html and leaving a review. It's disheartening that many satisfied users don't leave reviews while a few unsatisfied ones do, which hampers my motivation for this non-profit hobby project.

It suddenly stopped working. When I try to download anything from YouTube, I only get a warning saying that downloading is no longer supported. Clicking on the toolbar icon takes me to the premium version. I'm unsure about spending money on something that might not work anymore. It used to be so useful!

@addieteerry Firefox has already published the update, I have submitted the new v 19.0 to Opera for approval but is pending their approval and publication.

broozerbri last edited byright when you download this, it takes you to a website showing you how to download the videos. Which isn't necessary, but i appreciate it. Also the download speed is kinda fast which is cool. [Not really much to say Other than 'it gets the job done']
what's not cool is that this plugin locks all mp3 and 1080p downloads [from what i seen in it] Behind a paywall, i know It's because "youtube switched to separate audio/video streaming technology for higher quality formats" and blah blah blah. but Be real with yourself, Who the hell is going to pay their hard-earned money for a opera GX plugin??
The second I saw "PRO users" My eyes rolled so far back. They did have a link to show What they're offering, But I just couldn't be bothered to look.
[Probably was offering a UI change with the ability to be able to download all mp3s and mp4s for 40 bucks]
Honestly this plugin was doomed from the start When they added a Premium version, At that point you might as well just buy Youtube premium -

@broozerbri Hi, the addon asks for a "pay-what-you-want" one-time donation, not sure where you got the 40 bucks figure. Also, it has been almost 7+ years since we had to add the premium version. I am not sure why you are stuck for 7+ years with this rant? Not sure why you think a developer will keep this updated for 14+ years now and get reviews like this because someone thinks we should work for them for free!!

This kicks butt! after "save**** net" got an update, it stopped working for me, but this started working instantly! thank you so much for keeping this updated all these years
if I can get my hands on some extra cheddar it will be going to you, as I cant imagine it is an easy thing to keep reworking it for more modern YouTube versions.

@thedarkwolf713: ok, used for 3 days, found out it downloaded like 2 things and stopped working, youtube is patching this as fast as they can.

@thedarkwolf713 Yes, read the update here - https://www.yourvideofile.org/support.html , I have patched and a new version 19.1 is now submitted to Opera for review and approval. Once that is done you should get auto-updated to the working version.

This has got to be one of my favourite addons that's uploaded to multiple browser addon stores, it is disheartening to see that the addon only stands at 3.7 out of 5 stars as of the time I am writing this review but I do understand why it has a lower rating, people get this addon to download videos and media of Youtube and suddenly they make it near impossible to get any media downloaded and it is frustrating and same goes for me, it's annoying whenever the addon stops working since there aren't many good downloaders available that won't pump your system full with malware but all we can do is wait and I am but a drop in an ocean and while I don't speak for everyone I would like to think that at least a lot of users agree with my sentiment that this is a great addon and I hope you keep up the amazing work!
