I would like to get Opera GX to start run whenever the PC restart or boot up. I guess you could say that I am spoiled by Mozilla and Chrome for having this feature! I can't seem to find a way to enable this behavior.

I am already aware of changing the behavior upon startup such as start new empty tab or restore last session etc... As far I can tell Opera GX doesn't have anything to start the app after a reboot.

I am on Windows 10 64 bit OS. Normally you would be able to enable/disable specific program from running after startup under startup tab in task manager. Opera GX doesn't show up here.

What little I could find on this is the regular Opera had an issue where people couldn't figure out how to turn off auto-startup. Nevermind the Opera GX version.

        Try this:

To add an app to Startup:

        1. Select the Start button and scroll to find the app you want to run at startup.
        2. Right-click the app, select More, and then select Open file location. This opens the location where the shortcut to the app is saved. If there isn’t an option for Open file location, it means the app can’t run at startup.
        3. With the file location open, press the Windows logo key + R, type shell:startup, then select OK. This opens the Startup folder.
        4. Copy and paste the shortcut to the app from the file location to the Startup folder.
