Sync Opera GX with Chrome cross platform

Hi!

I was wondering if it would be possible to sync Opera GX across platforms. To be more specific, when you use chrome on your pc you can save bookmarks, surf the web, etc. Then you can pick up another device that has the chrome app and continue from where you left off on pc. As far as I understand this is possible due to both devices drawing on the same info in your google account. While yes I could download the Opera app on mobile, considering GX is built on open source chrome code, wouldn't it be possible to sign in to your google account in GX, thus automatically adding your bookmarks and history, and having it sync in real time across devices?

I'm not sure if this is possible or can be done but thanks anyway tho,
