It urgently needs the option to customise the country-specific top-level-domain for Google (such as Google.co.uk), rather than simply defaulting to the American Google.com

Some time ago Google made the change to offer the local Google on Google.com. Say you are located in the UK, going to Google.com will bring you the UK version of Google. You can tell by the country name in the bottom left corner.

Is there any usecase for you to have google.co.uk instead of google.com?
