Vertical tabs, or ability to hide the default tab bar so we can use the vertical tab add-ons

I only use vertical tabs in browsers, and usually there is a way to hide the default tab bar so only the vertical tabs are shown, but I don't see the option here. So we either need the option to hide the default tab bar, or a built-in setting to switch tab bar location and orientation.
