Snap Opera from Snap Store and widevine/flash.

  • .deb and .rpm variants of Opera works flawlessly with widevine cdm.

Even Netflix recently change its policy, and no longer block Opera Linux user agent.

Hoever, Snap version of Opera don't work with widevine. The only reason is snaps don't have permission to access files outside user /home directory and opera is looking for widevine only in /opt/google/chrome* wich it cannot access!

    I see two possible solutions:

    1. Ship Opera snap with widevine included (f.e. by Sannonical, same way as ffmpeg-extra is shipped with snap)
      if not:
    2. Ad one more entry point somewhere in user home directory to widevine_config.json. Users gonna be able to install widevine themselves, and Opera will have permission to access it!

PS: Sam thing with flashplayer, but nobody should care about flash anymore.
