Browser does not save login to sites

I'm using Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa and I'm running Opera version: 60.0.3255.59.
The option to "Keep local data only until you exit the browser" is disabled and even then every time I close the browser I have to log in again to sites like youtube, facebook, twitter etc.
I want my site sessions to stay active.Thank you

Snap or regular deb?
Do you have any addons or external programs (e.g. bleachbit) that clean cookies etc? -
