I live in china so for the instant search it defaults to Sogou (which sucks) and I want to change it to bing but there is no way. Opera, please add a feature to change the instant search search engine.

In Opera, goto the URL opera://about and take note of the "profile" path. Then, close Opera and edit the "Local State" file there.

   "country" : "us",
   "country_from_server" : "US"
}

Look for that and change the country code to see if it helps. "us" should get your Google. Not sure if any will get you Bing, but you can try different codes to find out.

@burnout426 Not the desired answer sorry. The search engine shouldn't be locked like that at all. Instead it should default to user chosen default.

I don't want Google. I want to use the search engine i have chosen, be it Bing, Duckduckgo, Ecosia, or Searx etc
