CentOS is running in a WMWare virtual machine on Windows 10 host. Plenty of RAM available (less than half used).

Any ideas what it can be?

No idea what can it be, but I can confirm it happens here as well.
Debian testing x64, native installation (= not on a virtual machine), opera 58.0.3135.68 and more info can be given upon request.
