Speed Dial Becomes Unresponsive

Hi,
Has anyone else experienced the Speed Dial screen becoming unresponsive after visiting a few websites? The bottom menu and the address bar still work as expected, but Speed Dial icons do not respond to touch input. I have to quit and restart the browser to get the Speed Dial working again.
I am using version 38.0.2254.134507 on Android 7.0.
I tried using Opera Mini Beta version 39.0.2254.13423 and still have the same problem.

i too encountered opera freezing after clicking some speed dial inside some speed dial cluster; all buttons become irresponsive except the exit icon only.
however, i found a temporary work-around - better than re-starting opera everytime it freezes...until a fix is uploaded.
Everytime a website is clicked, i immediately open a new tab..and waited in new tab..until internet speed is around 5k/s (very little background activity)..the trick is not to dwell on the loading tab but on another blank tab or another successfully loaded tab.
So, opened multiple tabs, wait on blank tab or read loaded page while waiting for other sites to be fully loaded..
