Co-operate with new WinAmp developers

I heard WinAmp was taken over by new developers a few years ago and upcoming week they're actually releasing a new version of the program and next year a large update.
An idea to perhaps co-create something like a build-in musicplayer/page that can be accessed from the main menu or whatever that thing is called where the sidebar is with Messenger, WhatsApp etc.?
