Opera 50 can not play video on websites

Ubuntu 14.04.05 LTS Opera 50.
It is not possible to play video on websites. Only the youtube website is working properly. Is the cause of the flash player or maybe silverlight, windows media player? Does anyone have a solution for this?

Assuming that you have already read the thread about opera on ubuntu 14.04, take some time to read this one too. It talks about opera's poor html5 support in general and what solutions someone has.

Keep in mind though that for opera 50 you will also need chromium codecs 63, which will be really hard to find as a package for your distro.
