Remove white flash/blink

Opera has this awful habit to blind you with white flash when it is loading a new page. This long-standing issue can be solved by changing two lines of code.
A possibility to change the color in settings instead of it being hardcoded would be perfect.

Did you find a way to patch chromium for opera yourself?
This issue is seriously disorienting- my eyes are very sensitive to white light, and the flashes are almost painful.
