Opera is a great browser in general, except that it does not seem to respect my window managers' settings for preventing the stealing of focus. I use a terminal to type (eg. passwords) while I am starting up both Firefox Quantum and Opera at the same time. It used to be that both browsers would steal focus from the terminal while starting up. Then I set my window manager to prevent them from stealing focus from the terminal. Now Firefox Quantum does not steal focus from the terminal, but Opera still steals focus from the terminal.

I use (for Linux v49.0.2725.39 running on Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (x86_64; XFCE). What I did was on my Desktop, "Settings > Window Manager Tweaks > Focus" and there I check "Activate focus stealing prevention", uncheck "Honor standard ICCCM focus hint", and select "When a window raises itself, do nothing".

Despite my settings, Opera continues to steal focus from the terminal, though Firefox has stopped stealing focus under my new settings. This is not convenient when you are in the middle of typing a long passphrase, and you don't know exactly at what point the focus was stolen because you can't see the password, so you have to erase your password and start over from the beginning after you put the focus back on the terminal.
How can I make Opera respect my window manager's settings? Or how can I make sure the window manager can prevent Opera from stealing focus?

Apart from this issue, thank you for an excellent browser!
