Qwant as default search engine

This was already suggested.
I want to emphasize how qwant is growing and has a philosophy close to opera's.
Of course, we can add qwant as an "other search engine". But to use it we then need to tape "q" before every search or use the extension. And it does not work with opera's search function (when text is highlighted). This would be a nice feature for opera and I don't think it is very complicated to implement.

You could add it to the speed dial. I added extra search engines to mine.

I disagree with forcing another ‘default search engine’ on users since these reserve shortcuts unnecessarily. There should be a way to set a custom search engine as default from the interface, and I am saying this simply because most if not all other web browsers allow you to.
And it does not work with opera's search function (when text is highlighted).
You could use ‘Search with’ rather than ‘Search’ which is what I do for custom queries all the time.

Thank you tufuzay, I did not though about the "search with" function.
I also agree with what you say.
In the end, you can use qwant or other engines with opera. But the integration is not perfect. Not "default".
And this one extra click, even if this seems silly, brings me sometime to rather use google instead of the engine I would prefer to use.
