Can't update Opera on Linux Mint 18.1

Under Menu, Opera tells me there is a new version:

Version: 44.0.2510.1218 - New version 44.0.2510.1449 is available

When I run update manager the new version of Opera is not found. Yet, I am using the repository which was automatically created at the time of install.

deb https://deb.opera.com/opera-stable/ stable non-free #Opera Browser (final releases)

Any recommendations ??
