Opera Mini 4.5: key shortcuts in a touch device, is it possible?

In a Nokia 311 I need to use Opera Mini 4.5 because 7/8 fall in an "out of memory" error by the device.
Anyway, I like 4.5 (maybe more than Mobile versions) but I found that, even the touch enhancements added, the keypad shortcuts can't be used which is a problem.
I didn't find any way to display the virtual keypad or any way to have the possibility to use the shortcuts, so I have to use the Tools taping in the menu>tools>whatever I need what it is a waste of time like a pain in the ass with the tiny touch screen of the Nokia 311 (and fat fingers that I don't have and I even have problems).
Is possible to use the shortcuts with a touch device and Opera Mini 4.5? How?
If the devs are reading, maybe is a feature to add in later versions, if the Opera Mini branch is still in development.
